Our Workshops

Our workshops are delivered by consultants who are certified and experts in they areas of services.  Alex Butt is our principal consultant who specialises on Culture Change, Conflict Management and coaches individual on changing mindsets.  Kris Ang is an international certified resource for the YPO International organisation.  She specialises on Forum communication and Mentoring.  Clara Butt coaches franchise organisation on sales, marketing and operational efficiency.

Workshops formats are hand-ons styles with experiential and interactive learnings.  The key to learning is to engage all faculties of the brain: Visual, Auditory, Kinesthetic and occasionally even spiritually. 

2 days

This training is a highly sought-after Workshop that gives participants the understanding and tools necessary for creating greater accountability in their organization. While working on actual organizational results, participants apply the principles of The Results Pathway and learn the Accountable Attitudes  to take the Four Right Steps of : See Right, Think Right, Speak Right and Act Right necessary to achieve those results. Throughout the workshop, the skills, attitudes, and tools for taking the steps are presented and practiced.  The interactive workshop is preceded by a survey of the organisation and phone interviews of select participants to identity the existing culture within the organisation. The workshop will transform the behaviors of  people away from the Blame actions and focus on achieving results.  They will learn how to adopt the Accountable Attitudes to take the four steps of See Right, Think Right, Speak Right and Act Right to achieve their organisation key results.

Kilmann Diagnostics is dedicated to resolving conflict throughout the world, so the renowned Thomas-Kilmann Instrument (TKI) has been included in our workshops.  Why? Because no two individuals have exactly the same needs and concerns, conflict is a natural part of our interactions with others—whether in our personal life or in our organizational life. The TKI is an online assessment that will take you 15 to 20 minutes to complete and download your personalized results—which will help you discover the most appropriate uses for each conflict-handling mode in different situations. Be prepared to experience many eureka (aha) moments!

These are private and confidential sessions that focus on individually coaching, on behavioral patterns as well as broadening of mindsets to help uncover a person’s potential.  Coaching sessions differ for each individual and are customised to the individual’s needs.

A.  First meeting with coach.  Purpose: to ascertain the coaching objective and goals of the candidate desiring coaching.

B.  First meeting with candidate’s manager or sponsor.  Purpose: to ascertain the goals and desired outcome of the manager or sponsor.

If A and B are not aligned, a third meeting would be required before coaching begins. This is critical check-point to ensure successful coaching outcome for all parties.

C.  Sharing between coach and candidate on any information regarding candidate’s company’s or group’s objectives, vision, directions, or organisation structure.

Shadowing:  It may be important to know the environment that a candidate is operating within.  Hence, a coach may attend meetings or presentation sessions where the candidate is involved.  This provides useful insight of the candidate’s behaviour and style.  This is usually onsite where the coach observes quietly from the back of the room.

Regular Private 1:1 Coaching Sessions.  These are conducted either over the telephone, video conference or face-to-face.  Since the most effective session is face-to-face, this is the preferred mode of conduct.  Coaching sessions usually last for a period of 6 months to have effect.  Frequency of the sessions depends on the candidate, which could be once a week to once a month.

Review Sessions:  In the midst of the coaching period, there would be mid-point check-in with the candidate’s manager or sponsor to ensure that the progress is visible.

Closing session:  At the end of a coaching period (6 months or 12 months), a closing review session concludes the coaching sessions.  At this meeting, the coaching goals and lessons learnt are reviewed, ensuring that the candidate’s ongoing self-development continues and resources are available to the candidate.

Quick Fixes: Sometimes a candidate requires some quick behavioural changes or actions to be changed.  Examples of some of these are: Executive Presence Skills or Confidence in Front of Large Groups or Influencing Peers.  These are more specific areas to work on with a candidate.

I.  Team coaching:  There are situations where a small group needs to be coached as a team.  Usually this involves lack of team spirit or the team is demotivated.  Other times, it is a team of experienced people coming together to form a new team.  The diverse experiences and seniority create dynamics which is unproductive.  In situations like this, usually a psychometric assessment exercise is applied to help the team recognize different behavioural styles or personality types.

J.  Business Coaching.  At times, when a business is not achieving some goals, coaches are engaged to help the team facilitate the discovery or troubleshoot the business problems.  Subject matter experience of the business is usually not required because it is not the subject knowledge which is of value to the team.  Often, it is the obvious which the business has not asked themselves or they may fail to see the ‘elephant in the room’.  These sessions could take the form of 1:1 interviews, followed by 1:many review sessions plus observations of the team in action.

2 day

This is a highly customised workshop to enable teams to establise the foundation of Innovative Thinking.  The workshop will introduce the methodology from the book Innovation U by Jeff De Graff’s model of 4-Cs of innovative thinking.  This workshop could extend to apply innovative thinking to develop solutions for real-life challenge the organisation has prioritised.  

Outcome: Projects and new brainstormed ideas as options to challenges faced by teams.

1 hr to half-day

Alex is and advance meditator who retreats into the forest of Thailand 4 times a year to hone his meditation practice with masters. Having been ordained as a buddhist Monk himself, he blends his business mind with the spiritual mentality to create mental wellness and success.  In his book, “A CEO, an Entrepreneur, a Tourist and the Monk”, he epitomised the practicality of achieving Success and Happiness by finding the Balance.

Alex Butt is the author of the book “A CEO, an Entrepreneur, a Tourist and the Monk – on Finding the balance between Success. Finding Happiness”.   

He frequently speaks at company events on similar topics to stimulate audience to find their passion and purpose.

Alex was ordained as a Monk in 2017.  He lived in the forest of Thailand for 45 days learning meditation and Dharma from masters.  His simple equation help us attain the balance between success and happiness: TIME = Money + Merits + Mind + Mindfulness.
